Description
Each chair is unique, produced by highly skilled craftsmen in their workshop in Albania.
In the Balkans the car is more than just a vehicle. It says a lot about its master, and his master speaks about it willingly.
Yet the Albanian car fleet is ageing, populated largely by imported vehicles, old and often in poor condition. Spare part hunting is a real national sport, which explains the extraordinary number of break-ins that populate the countryside.
John Felici has explored these fascinating places in search of innovative materials for his creations. He found car bonnets with surprising color markings on the hidden side.
The idea of a homage to design icons became reality thanks to his meeting with two craftsman brothers, excited at the idea of producing a range of chairs with such a special material.
Each cover allows us to produce a maximum of three chairs. As each of them has its own color, each chair has only two sisters in the same shade.
The legs are made of raw metal. The whole is lacquered and waxed.
